Playlist: Maybe You Can Owe Me

Welcome to Tuesday. I know I don't normally write anything on Tuesdays...or any other days but Wednesdays for that matter...but it's spring break and I'm bored. So, what do I do when I'm bored? Make a list, of course. This morning I woke up with the song "Maybe You Can Owe Me" by Architecture in Helsinki stuck in my head, it had been playing throughout my dream, and I've been humming it all day long. So, I was inspired by the song to create yet another playlist. Only now have I realized that most of these songs are a bit on the depressing songs, even though I'm not really in a depressed mood. Just tired and...I dunno...weird I guess, maybe pensive. Slightly anxious. I suppose these songs are calming me down a bit. Anyway, if you are planning on listening to them, I recommend this order, it sort of rises and falls. Have fun.

1. Maybe You Can Owe Me - Architecture in Helsinki
2. Our Swords - Band of Horses
3. Xavia - The Submarines
4. Hide Away - Rock Kills Kid
5. This Is Your Life - The Killers
6. Intervention - Arcade Fire
7. Missed the Boat - Modest Mouse
8. California Stars - Billy Bragg
9. Lay Lady Lay - Magnet
10. How To Say Goodbye - Paul Tiernan
11. New Slang - The Shins
12. It Ain't Me Babe - Bob Dylan
13. Neighborhood #2 (Laika) - Arcade Fire
14. Jesus, Etc. - Wilco
15. West Coast - Coconut Records
16. Soft Shock (acoustic version) - Yeah Yeah Yeahs
17. Where Does the Good Go - Tegan and Sara
18. Kids - MGMT

List: Easter Wish List

8:43 PM Posted In Edit This 1 Comment »
HEY. HEYYYYYY. Happy List Wednesday tout le monde! I hope all y'all are having a super-amazing day, mine has been long and tedious, what with a lab final and having to watch a movie about crazy John Brown. But tis over now and it's time for a list! So, a little background before the list. My family is obsessed with giving gifts, and with Easter approaching next month, my mom has requested I make a wish list of ten things I want for Easter gifts. Yes, it's a bit silly that we celebrate the resurrection of Christ with presents, but that's just the way we roll. Anyway, this is the list I've made of stuff I want, I know I wont get everything on the list, but it's what I would seriously like:

1. The Nanny Season 3
2. My Booky Wook by Russell Brand
3. Starbucks gift card
4. Border's gift card
5. Taylor Swift tickets
6. Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow in Mystic Eyes
7. Role Models on DVD
8. Miss Dior Cherie perfume
9. Coach Parker Op Art Convertible Hippie handbag
10. Jonas Brothers concert tickets

These are not in order of importance, otherwise I think you would (embarrassingly enough) see #10 moved to the first spot on the list.  Peace, love, and harmony for all.

Listening To: Modern Nature by Sondre Lerche

Listen: Ride With Me

I am obsessed with this song right now, and all of you need to listen. It's a cover of Nelly's "Ride With Me", performed by the band I Call Shotgun. The band is currently unsigned though, which makes me very sad.

Guten Tag errbody, and happy List Wednesday!!! The subject of this week's list is my top 15 favorite movies, in descending order. Have a grood day!

1. Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
(I've seen this movie over 50 times, it's an understatement to say I'm obsessed)

2. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
(The original. It is equal parts tasty, fun, musical and frightening...the perfect combination.)

3. Psycho
(The 1960 version. What can I say? I named my cat Norman Bates, I am enamored by this adorable killer.)

4. Sabrina
(The original version with Audrey Hepburn. I don't know how they made Humphrey Bogart attractive in the movie, but they did.)

5. Pride & Prejudice
(I seriously wish I was Elizabeth Bennet and had my own Mr. Darcy.)

6. Hot Rod
(COOL BEANS.)

7. The Birds
(I actually really enjoy watching the little children get pecked by vicious crows.)

8. When Harry Met Sally
(Adorable and hilarious, although Billy Crystal is a little unbelievable as a romantic lead.)

9. Monty Python and the Holy Grail
(A classic, absolutely genius piece of British comedy. I grew up with this movie.)

10. How to Steal a Million
(Another Audrey Hepburn film, with Peter O'Toole. It's very cute, and who knew Peter O'Toole had such a dry sense of humor?)

11. Clue
(Another movie I grew up watching with my dad. Hilarious, perfect cast, Tim Curry, based off the board game. I heard they are making a remake, which saddens me beyond belief.)

12. Pirates of the Caribbean
(This started my slight fixation on being a pirate. And by that I mean I own several plastic swords and an eyepatch.)

13. Rushmore
(I really don't like Wes Anderson films, but I love Jason Schwartzman. And the song at the end is KILLER.)

14. 8 Femme (or 8 Women)
(A French film, which is a murder-mystery set in the 50's. The colors in this movie are BRIGHT, and the characters randomly break out into song. But I love one song called "Pile ou Face" (Heads or Tails), I find it stuck in my head every now and then.)

15. Jonas Brothers 3D Concert Experience
(Just kidding.........or am I?)

Now Listening To: Got No Place To Go by Gabriella Cilmi
